"The Huddle" Celebrates First Birthday
The month of June marked the first anniversary of "The Huddle", a hospital-wide department gathering which takes place every morning. Departments get together to share department information, and receive hospital information from the team leader at the same time. The event is also a great way for departments to celebrate accomplishments and share problem-solving skills with other department members.
Started in June of 2007, the Huddle was an instant success, allowing departments to better communicate internally, and providing a way for vital information regarding the hospital to be communicated in a timely manner.
"I think it's just great", commented Marcus Briscoe in Community Development, "It is a fun, positive way to start the day, and it gives me the opportunity to find out whats going on at the hospital every morning."
Along with hospital information, every Huddle offers inspirational quotes from historic figures, and healthy living tips among other information. The Huddle has proven to be another valuable tool in the cultural development at GHCH, and we all want to wish it "Happy Birthday!"
