GHCH Wins Prestigious VHA "Passion" Award
The VHA awarded Grays Harbor Community Hospital their coveted service excellence Passion Award. Attending the event were members of the GHCH staff along with CEO John Mitchell, who accepted the award on behalf of the entire hospital.
Noting the cultural changes that have taken place at the hospital over the last 18 months, Mitchell commented on how teamwork and a desire to provide the best customer experience was responsible for the dramatic change in the hospital's bottom-line.
Recent results from surveys of employees and from the public bear out the positive aspects of the cultural change at the hospital, showing an increase in overall employee satisfaction (14%) and a 19-22% increase in the satisfaction of our customers in both the inpatient areas and emergency room.
