Across the United States, thousands of Hospitals and Healthcare Organizations are evaluated and accredited by the Joint Commission. Joint Commission standards represent a national consensus on quality patient care. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit national body that oversees the safety and quality of healthcare and other services provided in accredited organizations.
Participation in the accreditation process is entirely voluntary, and the participating organizations choose to be measured against national standards for excellence in providing quality patient care within organized healthcare delivery settings.
Grays Harbor Community Hospital has been accredited by the Joint Commission which has surveyed this organization and found it to meet the requirements for accreditation. This accreditation means that we demonstrated compliance with applicable JCAHO standards in all performance areas. The accreditation extends from 2004 to 2007.
This reputable and thorough evaluation provided by JCAHO validates the hard, everyday work of our physicians and staff, and confirms that Grays Harbor Community Hospital's goal of being the best Community Hospital in the United States is always our top priority.
