Swine Flu Update:
Grays Harbor Community Hospital is in close contact with Grays Harbor County Public Health Department to address the evolving swine flu virus. We are also receiving regular updates and guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to remain current with this evolving situation. There are every day actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory disease like influenza.
- Cover you nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
- Do not go to work or school if you are sick. CDC recommends that you limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
